Pritha Ghosh, a 21 yr old self taught artist, explores a wide range of mediums and styles, mostly contemporary, in the hopes of finding one that connects elements of her identity, heritage and beliefs.Her earlier series consist of modest, yet intricate, watercolours, a reflection of the areas she grew up in and fondly travelled to. She then moves onto a series of motion abstractions, inspired by one of her favourite artists Jackson Pollock, showing the messy, chaotic character one often engages themselves with. Her jagged sketches series encompass the human world she so devotedly observes & attempts to mimic with her. She then experimented with a mixture of varied media- from acrylics to poster colours- producing a series showcasing worlds of colourful jumbles that tell a tale with components of Neo expressionism, subtle pop art, facets of modernism & of course, abstract expressionism. She is currently working on a series of vibrant, surreal & visually captivating digital art, incorporating thought provoking & imaginative compositions.
